A PLACE TO BELONG

How do you make a space more inclusive while respecting centuries of tradition? For this synagogue, we reimagined the wall separating men and women, opening views and improving sound while working within religious requirements. What had been a barrier became a beautifully crafted part of the architecture, giving women a better connection to the service without compromising the traditions that shaped the space.
